Totally discounted Mr. Rippy’s request to delay & research further options for helping the homeless. United Way has a reputation for giving lip service to help, but no help is given. United Way has the money to help the homeless & they do nothing. They have a facility to house the homeless to keep them out of the elements, but they do not allow the homeless to use the facility. United Way refuses to show transparency & accountability in their fiscal responsibility to this county. United Way is no good to this community & they offer no added value. United Way needs to be closed & leave this county. Give the non-profits in this county, who honestly want to help the vulnerable population, a chance to help them. United Way is a waste of time and valuable, much needed resources.
