Annie, you’re absolutely correct. Talk means nothing. Bureaucratic & personal political agendas continue to defeat the purpose. Not only is Rutherford County a Tier One county, Rutherford County ranks number three in the state in drugs & drug related deaths. The drug addicted workforce age range is approximately 24 to 54 years old. What corporation, if any, wants to take a chance & do business in a county with a problem like this? Drug addiction is a well known “cancer” here. If I were a corporation, I would pass on the opportunity, at this time. This county is too much of a high risk to set up business here. The bottom line; a drug addicted, uneducated, untrained workforce means no economy, no growth, only decay & poverty. Now, add the damaged aftermath of a devastating hurricane. That’s where Rutherford County stands right now. Who’s to blame…. The past and some present political officials are responsible for the current financial condition Rutherford County is in today. Thanks so much for all your well below average work. Keep it up and I can guarantee you there will be a mass exodus of not only the drug addicted dead, but of the healthily living, as well. You have to be out of your mind to want to stay in a county like this. Wake up county commissioners! The citizens here are fed up with you. This is your last chance. Get it together & do it fast. If not, we’re outta here!
