SCOOP: Commissioner and Detective Linked to 30+ Pending Cases
New eCourts records reviewed by Cops & Congress show Commissioner and Detective Hunter Haynes named as the arresting or investigating officer in dozens of ongoing cases across Rutherford County.
RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. — According to public court documents reviewed by Cops & Congress, Narcotics Detective Hunter Haynes — who also serves as a Rutherford County Commissioner — is listed in over 30 pending criminal cases now active in Rutherford County District and Superior Courts.

This information comes from my independent research through North Carolina’s new eCourts system, which officially launched in Rutherford County today. For the first time, the system allows journalists and citizens to view online court filings that once required an in-person records search or public records requests.
All of the following cases remain pending allegations. The defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
