RUTHERFORDTON, N.C. — A civil dispute that began earlier this year between NAMI South Mountains Board of Directors President Diane Krisanda and Suzanne Mizsur Porter, the Executive Director of the United Way of Rutherford County, has entered a new phase of contention over alleged discovery abuses and defiance of court orders.
In a motion filed today, November 12, 2025, Krisanda’s attorney, Andrew LaBreche of Woodridge Law in Rutherfordton, accuses Porter, her daughter, Jackie Porter, and the United Way of Rutherford County Inc. of willfully violating a prior court order compelling discovery. United Way of North Carolina and United Way Worldwide were listed as co-defendants, but a series of legal hearings and rulings means they are not included as of today.
