NCDOT HAS RULES ABOUT WEIGHT. WHAT IS THAT RULE. Our bridges are very old and narrow. I’ve seen 3 trucks in the Tryon bridge at the same time. Scary. Also all of our roads are quickly deteriorating. All the rain is not helping. Any road closures and work stops. I am happy they were ticketed. Check their tires out next time you see one. When over weight on these curves put us all on our last nerve. Residents have reported hundreds of those trucks over the double yellow. And 90% are going way too fast on the curves. For me personally if the road goes between town and #9 we are an island. No fire trucks nor ambulance. Just my point of view. And didn’t mean to first statement in caps. Appreciate what you do.

Thanks for your perspective, Pat. The mountains certainly make it challenging to remove debris from Helene.

More trucks are coming. Happy on one hand but apprehensive on the other. Bat Cave has serious issue with tourists. Trying to help by making the directions from Rt. 9/108
